Celebrate The Harvest
A festival of togetherness. For over a decade, we’ve gathered with our neighbors each fall to celebrate the abundant harvest the farm has provided the community, as well as all our community has contributed to the farm.
So we hope you’ll join us again this year as we Celebrate the Harvest with our neighbors on September 27th, from 5:30—7:30pm, at 5 Loaves Farm, 70 W Delavan Ave. Our neighbors are cooking up Caribbean classics like jerk chicken, oxtail, and pastelillos, along with Asian street foods like samosas. Meanwhile, the farm will provide fall favorites like pumpkins spice donuts, grape hand pies, and fresh pressed cider. There will also be live music, fun lawn games, and raffle baskets. Tickets for both the food and raffles can be purchased right at the event.
Part of our vision at 5 Loaves Farm is to be an urban farm in the midst of a thriving community that exhibits generous reciprocity. We believe the Creator shares blessings not to be hoarded and guarded, but to be freely shared with one another. We hope this festival of togetherness reflects both this generosity and reciprocity, as we celebrate the contributions of our neighbors made from the abundant harvest the land has yielded for our neighbors. So join us, and taste and see the goodness that surrounds us!
